My name is Sharon Osman and I am an authorised Croydon Marriage Celebrant. Being in the business for over 12 years, and with around 700 weddings, I am also a professional Life coach now performing Same Sex Marriages.

I’m proud and humbled to have been voted as a Finalist in the ABIA awards for Celebrant of the Year Victoria in 2017, 2018 and every year since then.

I have extensive people skills and a wealth of knowledge about relationships, Love & weddings. I specialise in personalising ceremonies and no two ceremonies will be the same. You will be my focus when designing your ceremony so that all your personal requirements are included. I provide you with Vows, Readings and Poems for you to choose from. You have the option if reading your own vows to each other it repeating them after me.

Make sure a person described on Page 4 witnesses your signatures.

This form must reach me one month before your wedding date.

I will prepare a ceremony for you, personalised to suit your needs. With your approval, and via email, can assist with information regarding other aspects for your Wedding preparation.

Upon your arrival here we will meet so I can see original documents, either your Australian Birth Certificates or an overseas passport or Australian passport. If you have been married before or widowed, proof of the dissolution of Marriage or Death Certificate must be supplied to me.

If you are an Australian living overseas who is to marry a person born overseas and you require a letter for the Consulate, I can assist you with this.

Below is an outline of how the typical ceremony runs, however aside from the legally required parts, the entire occasion can be tailored to your exact requirements.

Monitum (Legal requirement) – spoken by the Celebrant

Giving away of the Bride

The Asking – the Celebrant will ask you both if you are ready for a life commitment and ask you to hold hands

A Reading

Exchange of Vows (Legal requirement) – spoken to each other (can be read out or repeated after the Celebrant)

Exchange of Rings – any ring bearers can assist

Declaration (Legal requirement) – spoken by the Celebrant
