Weddings take place every day around the world, and I love celebrating the union of two people. Over the past 12 years I have learned that from country to country and couple to couple, each wedding ceremony is always uniquely special thanks to cultural traditions, rituals, and personal preferences. Congratulations and welcome! I’m Sharon Osman a Melbourne Wedding Celebrant and have met and married couples from all over the world including Africa.

African weddings are simply magical, unique and filled with warmth, tradition and class. From the colourful attire to the trendy music to the exquisite food, mixed with traditions and rituals, it’s hard to not love.

As a Melbourne Wedding Celebrant I am very blessed to have conducted many African Weddings over the past 12 years and officiated the most amazing ceremonies for the most friendly people.

No matter what sort of wedding you have in mind, I can help you make your dream come true.

The vision of a bride walking down the aisle in a white dress is just one of many bridal traditions and is still followed today. However I am fully aware that Marriage ceremonies within Africa vary greatly between countries due to the diversity of culture and religion throughout the continent. So I am very flexible and respectful of what ever sort of African wedding ceremony you choose.

For African Weddings in Melbourne, some couples choose an easy registry style marriage from my home office, others prefer something a bit more elaborate where they book a wedding reception or venue and invite family and friends to celebrate.

As a Melbourne celebrant I have always enjoyed every single African Wedding. Regardless of how large or how intimate every couple is treated with total respect, warmth and professionalism.

My love for Africa allowed me to travel to Africa (Tanzania, Nairobi and Zanzibar) for my honeymoon and my husband and I have both fallen in love with the beautiful country, the warm loving nature of the people and most of all the peaceful feeling that I have felt no where else in the world.

So I do have a soft spot for all my African couples. 😊

If you choose my services, I work with you to personalise your wedding ceremony to pay homage to your African heritage to whatever capacity you wish.

I offer ideas and options to blend it into an traditional Australian ceremony or even allow for inter faith marriages where one party may be of African Heritage and the other is not.
