I have been an Elwood Wedding Celebrant for over 12 years. Officiating Weddings, Elopements, Baby Naming’s, Renewal of Vows & much more in Elwood at the Elwood Beach and all over Melbourne.

To make your day special and unique, I ensure that your ceremony is not only of highest quality but it can be audible to all your guests.

I use a professional PA system for large gatherings.

Provide Samples of wedding vows, ring vows, readings and poems for you to choose from, or you may like to compose your own.

I am happy to run through things at my home close to the wedding date as an alternative to a rehearsal which will be an added cost.

I always arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony commences and depart when it is appropriate.

I will conduct your very special wedding ceremony in a professional yet caring and sensitive manner – it will flow beautifully.

Weddings Legal Steps Involved

Step 1. Contact me and we will meet to discuss the type of ceremony you want. There is absolutely no cost for this initial meeting but I will explain what costs there are. You get a chance to meet me and decide if you want to go ahead. I will ask some basic questions and go through some options and set up the next meeting. I will leave you a list of what you will need for our next meeting (birth certificates etc.)

Step 2 We then complete the first set of forms which is the ‘Notice of intended Marriage’ – note this must be done at least one month prior to the ceremony. I will view and confirm that all your documents are as required. A deposit will be required at this meeting. I will leave you with some ideas on format and content.

Step 3 After discussing your needs I will work up a draft ceremony, with all the points that you want included. Then we should have a reasonable finalisation of the ceremony.

Step 4 I will document fully the agreed ceremony and provide you with a copy for you to check and peruse at your leisure and you can advise me of any changes only after you have read it thoroughly. During this time, you may wish to contact me by phone or email, anytime.

Step 5 Depending on the ceremony, you may wish to have a phone rehearsal which is quite common these days. Whatever is the most comfortable, we will do. Any modifications can be addressed at this point.

Step 6. On the day, I will be at the time and place arranged, and will be around 30mins early to ensure that all preparations that are required are complete. I will need a nominated person from you to check with at the venue. I will check again with that person after the ceremony before I leave.

Step 7 In the next couple of days I will complete and forward all legal documentation to the appropriate authorities.
