Hello there! I’m Sharon and welcome to my website and thank you for your time.
A bit about me, I love my job and chose Celebrancy because I love being part of the joy that comes with sharing such meaningful moments with two people in love. I have been a registered, authorised wedding celebrant since 2009. Graduating from The Academy of Celebrancy, I also hold a Certificate 1V in Celebrancy.
Servicing the Waverley Community with my Celebrant work, I also work in Quality Assurance and I am also a Life Coach & Mentor. Empowering people to live a life of love and fulfilment is what I aspire to do. I bring with me a wealth of knowledge, ideas and tools to build rapport easily and create the unique ceremony for you.
My calming and warm energy is usually what attracts couples to me from all over the world. I connect with people effortlessly and make them feel safe and relaxed presenting them with a ceremony that they will forever cherish.
Over the past 12 years, I have helped create and perform ceremonies in Mount Waverley, around Melbourne and all over Australia. By bringing together love and science with the spiritual, I bring your wedding a style all on its own. Whether Buddhist, Hindu, Christian, Muslim, Punjabi or whether you are Asian, Australian or English. I treat everyone with the same respect and value every client.
I love the way marriage is such a wonderfully creative process. From the Mount Waverley location, to the decoration, to the clothing, to the vows, no two weddings are the same. It is an honour to share in making your wedding as individual as you are and as special as possible.
The places I can help are many. I have spent years studying different cultures and their approach to the expression of love and peace, whether that be through meditation, energy healing or writing. I can help you assemble your vows from the writings of others or create your own. I can also assist with ideas to make your day extra special such as adding readings or music to create an unforgettable, youthful, spiritual, heartfelt day.

You don’t have to be an Australian citizen, in order to get married in Mount Waverley and you don’t have to live here. Both parties must be over the of 18 years. If you live overseas in another country or interstate and you plan to marry in Mount Waverley, what is the process?

A Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) must be completed by both parties within 18 months of your proposed marriage and no less than one month prior to it.
I can email this form to you and it is also available from the Australian Consulate/High Commission or Foreign Affairs in your country of residence.
You need to get the form witnessed at the Australian Embassy or Consulate in your country or by a Notary Public.
If you live interstate: The back of the Form will tell you who can witness the form, for you.
As soon as this form is completed you will need to mail, email it to me for lodgment, no later than one calendar month prior to the wedding.
The following documents you must show me when I meet you in Australia:
I suggest that you also scan and email them to me or mail the photocopies, together with the lodgment of the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM)
If you were born overseas, outside Australia, you must show me your overseas passport or your birth certificate. Possibly your drivers license if you don’t have a passport.
If you were born in Australia, you can show me you birth certificate or passport. Australian passports and drivers license are acceptable.
If you have been married previously, you need to provide certified copy of your Divorce Certificate or Death Certificate of former spouse
Once I take care of the legalities, you can come to Melbourne any time before your wedding.
You will need to have 2 witnesses to attend your ceremony and I can arrange it for you
I will officiate the wedding at your chosen location, provide everything needed for the wedding and assure you that you will have a beautiful ceremony, specially created for you
I will present you with a marriage certificate on your wedding day. This is “The Ceremonial Marriage Certificate”
The day after your wedding I usually send off all your paperwork to Births Deaths & Marriages. You will need to obtain a stamped registered copy of your full legal marriage certificate from the Registry office before leaving Australia.
